Acoustical Systems at TVTI

Marc Phillips of PTAudio made an East Coast trip in September and visited TVTI for our Acoustical Systems, TIDAL Audio & Van den Hul at TVTI | On the Road event.

The featured system at The Voice That Is was as follows:

“The new Acoustical Systems A*Stellar turntable, Paladian X.O. Boron cartridge, and Axiom and Aquilar tonearms; The new van den Hul SX phonostage; Vinnie Rossi’s Gen 2 Brama Integrated Amp; and new Turnbull Prestige Audio cables. Other products in the system to include TIDAL Piano G3 speakers, HRS EXRD Audio Stand, and Equitech Balanced power. The Vinnie Rossi Brama2 integrated was an unexpected inclusion in this system, but only because I was sitting in a room full of TIDAL Audio electronics as well. Doug explained this choice–since we were listening to the TIDAL Audio Piano G3 loudspeakers, which are the entry level TIDAL speakers” (starting at $64,000/pair), the $38,999 Brama 2 seemed more apt as a partner. (This was also fortuitous since I’m currently reviewing the Brama 2.) “.

We were pleased that Marc made this effort. Read the entire Acoustical Systems at TVTI report here.

About the Author: doug

My sonic taste prefers accurate reproduction of the recording engineer’s efforts where instruments have tonality and texture. I frequent live concerts and, because I have musician friends who perform nationally and internationally, my need to play is suppressed. More importantly, it keeps me in touch with the reality of the live performance. It was when I stopped playing did I have the realization that my audio system was not true to my playing experience. That’s when my search began – visiting, and later working in, high end audio stores.
