TIDAL Audio Editor’s Choice
Congratulations to TIDAL Audio on receiving the 2025 Editor’s Choice award from The Absolute Sound. This award is both an honor and an incentive for the future.
The Absolute Sound is one of the most important hi-fi magazines in the USA, and we are extremely proud of these awards. This year’s award spans multiple products from the company. The TIDAL Audio Editor’s Choice award includes the Contriva G3 and Piano G3 speakers, the Contros Digital Controller, the Prisma Preamp, and the Ferios and Intra amplifiers.
The Contriva G3 by Tom Martin Best Speakers report is on YouTube.
The late Anthony Cordesman wrote about the Piano G3. “No speaker is all things to all audiophiles. The Tidal Piano G3 is, however, a truly innovative approach to dealing with real room and decor issues in ways that reproduce almost all the best high-end performance of much larger loudspeakers.”
Andrew Quint reviewed the TIDAL Contros (which he owns). Andy borrowed the TIDAL Intra several times to complete reviews when his existing amps couldn’t deliver. His Intra experience led to his purchasing the TIDAL Ferios amps as his reference. Andy bought the Contros and Ferios from TVTI, and we thank him for his support.
Robert Harley wrote a feature review on the TIDAL Prisma preamp and Ferios Mon Amplifiers that lasted 12 pages and graced the cover of the magazine.
“The Prisma preamplifier and Ferios power amplifiers are among the best electronics I’ve heard. They combine a startling immediacy and transparency with a tonal beauty that simultaneously engages the head and the heart. Their resolution of individual instruments within complex arrangements was sensational. I was particularly impressed by the Prisma preamplifier with its sophisticated volume control and unique integration of the phonostage that greatly shortens the signal path. If you thought that the phonostage inside a full-function preamp was compromised compared with outboard units, you haven’t heard the Prisma.”

About the Author: doug
My sonic taste prefers accurate reproduction of the recording engineer’s efforts where instruments have tonality and texture. I frequent live concerts and, because I have musician friends who perform nationally and internationally, my need to play is suppressed. More importantly, it keeps me in touch with the reality of the live performance. It was when I stopped playing did I have the realization that my audio system was not true to my playing experience. That’s when my search began – visiting, and later working in, high end audio stores.
