TIDAL Audio – A Sound Celebration

TIDAL Audio – A Sound Celebration Building Emotions. For the first time in the US, TIDAL Audio products were showcased in three large rooms, hosted by Audio Ultra, Artisan Fidelity, and The Voice That Is. TIDAL Audio CEO Jorn Janczak joined the celebration.

January 2025 marked 25 years for TIDAL Audio, which manufactures bespoke audio speakers and electronics at the highest level of performance and quality. “We Build Emotions” resonates with music lovers all over the world.

The event was held at the Chicago Marriott Schaumburg, Friday, April 11th, and Saturday April 12th, 2025

The featured product was the world premiere of the new AP1 speaker. Attendees also experienced the Contriva G3 and Piano G3 speakers, the new Ferios G2 mono amplifiers, the Contros Digital Music Converter, the Prisma preamplifier, TIDAL x Bugatti MP1 and MC1 electronics.

Our own Doug White occupied Salon D and showed the TIDAL x Bugatti MC1 digital Controller which was connected to the new Ferios G2 mono amplifiers. The Contriva G3 speakers were dressed in a beautiful Smoked Rosewood Veneer. All cabling was by Turnbull Audio. Supporting products were the Equitech 2RQ, Silent Angel Bonn NX Network Switch, and Proto Stand by Ictra Design. The TIDAL x Bugatti MP1 preamplifier was on display but not used in the system.

Ed DeVito of Audio-Ultra was based in the larger of the three rooms and featured the new AP1 Amplified Performance speaker by TIDAL. The Smoke Macassar veneer on these speakers was absolutely stunning. The finish appeared black at first glance until the room light was just right and you were closer. Handling the digital source was the Contros Digital Controler. Again all cables were by Turnbull Audio

Christopher Thornton, of Artisan Fidelity, displayed the most TIDAL electronics having the Prisma, Arkas, Camira, and Intra on stage. The Piano G3 was positioned front and center in their formal Midnight Black Lacquer finish. All cabling here was by Siltech.

The common theme was a relaxed atmosphere where interested people filed into their room of choice. Each room offered a different view of the flexibility and musicality of TIDAL products. Jorn greeted everyone and happily discussed his products to all that asked. We feel it was a huge success!

Watch as Parttimeaudiophile makes the drive over from the convention on center. You can also see some of the AP1 on YouTube as presented in a highlights video by Tom Martin. See that here. Fast forward to 13:40.

My sonic taste prefers accurate reproduction of the recording engineer’s efforts where instruments have tonality and texture. I frequent live concerts and, because I have musician friends who perform nationally and internationally, my need to play is suppressed. More importantly, it keeps me in touch with the reality of the live performance. It was when I stopped playing did I have the realization that my audio system was not true to my playing experience. That’s when my search began – visiting, and later working in, high end audio stores.
