TIDAL Audio Room Two
TIDAL Audio Room Two by Marc Phillips. I still remember the first time I met Christopher Thornton of Artisan Fidelity. It was just a few years ago at a high-end audio show and I walked into a room with TIDAL Audio Contriva loudspeakers and I immediately sent a message to Doug White of The Voice That Is. “There’s someone else here showing TIDAL Audio,” I asked. “Do you know about this?” Doug, of course, informed me that it was the “new guy” who took on the line. “Artisan Fidelity…Isn’t that the people who restore idler-drive turntables and put them into absolutely gorgeous custom plinths?” Doug once again confirmed, and after I got to know Christopher Thornton a little better, it all made perfect sense, which is why he’s here in Chicago in TIDAL Audio Room Two.

My sonic taste prefers accurate reproduction of the recording engineer’s efforts where instruments have tonality and texture. I frequent live concerts and, because I have musician friends who perform nationally and internationally, my need to play is suppressed.
