ETSURO Ursuhi Colbalt Blue

The ETSURO Ursuhi Cobalt Blue cartridge.

The Cobalt Blue uses the Microline tip stylus, which has an ideal curvature of 80μm on the contact surface against the record groove. This contact surface achieves a superior reproduction characteristic. Cobalt Blue has been created to reproduce the sound cut on the record naturally.

Ultra-precise Sapphire pipe material has been introduced for the cantilever. The remarkable hardness of the sapphire will help reduce distortions and is also superb at transmitting high-speed vibration to create an increasingly clear sound.

The magnetic circuit combined the performance-proven samarium cobalt and electromagnetic soft iron to achieve magnetic features consistent with the coil vibration. Overall, balance and steady sound have been secured. Rhodium plating has been selected for the terminal pin.

Extra-super duralumin, known for its extreme strength among aluminum alloys, has been chosen for the cartridge housing and the base section. Because of this, the cartridge gained overall rigidity to the structure and avoided unnecessary resonance.

In addition to this extreme strength, the Extra-Super Duralumin housing has been further reinforced and handcrafted using the traditional Japanese craft of urushi lacquering. This gives the cartridge superb strength and weight and a beautiful, cobalt-blue aesthetic appearance.

The experience and craftsmanship built for over half a century will unlock the door towards the renewed sound of analog records.
