Etsuro Urushi Gold, Bordeaux & Cobalt Blue — Handcrafted MC Cartridges from Japan
In 2016, Excel Sound and Dai-Ichi Shoji collaborated to plan and develop the Etsuro Urushi series of high-end moving coil (MC) cartridges. Excel Sound meticulously designed each component, including the stylus tip, cantilever, housing, rubber damper, coil wire, core, base, and connection terminal. Only carefully selected materials sourced from Japan were used for the main components. Etsuro Urushi Gold, Bordeaux, and Cobalt cartridges are the result.
The Etsuro Urushi series is a remarkable blend of Excel Sound’s advanced technology and traditional Japanese crafting methods. These cartridges aim to revive the memories of sounds captured in record grooves. Their passion and mission are to deliver the Etsuro series products to analog music enthusiasts worldwide.
