TIDAL Sunray

Just for fun, this is a test video of the TIDAL Sunray speaker (Generation 1), shot in 2012, handheld, with a Canon PowerShot G12 camera. The 20’x20’x8′ room had yet to have sound treatment installed (yes, I know a square room is not ideal, but most sound systems are installed in less-than-ideal environments). The room is lively, but an experienced listener will get the idea – even through a computer. Contriva Diacrea SE and Amea speakers are in the background. Dynamic Design cables and Aurender S10 server. The music being played is Everwanting: To Want You To Want by Maxwell.

About the Author: doug

My sonic taste prefers accurate reproduction of the recording engineer’s efforts where instruments have tonality and texture. I frequent live concerts and, because I have musician friends who perform nationally and internationally, my need to play is suppressed. More importantly, it keeps me in touch with the reality of the live performance. It was when I stopped playing did I have the realization that my audio system was not true to my playing experience. That’s when my search began – visiting, and later working in, high end audio stores.
